LOWDOWN
We're teaming up with our good friends at The No Comprendo, Terrible Records, and GrandLife to bring you the first Discotel party of 2010! For the uninitiated out there, The No Comprendo is one of our favorite music-making and party-planning entities out there. They've hosted the likes of DIRTY Soundsystem, Todd Terje, Horsemeat Disco, and DJ Kaos, and are now bringing a live band into the fold―the soon to be huge Twin Shadow.
The brainchild of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist George Lewis Jr., Twin Shadow is currently in the studio recording a debut album for Terrible Records with producers Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and Prince Language. You can get the full scoop and grab a couple tracks by the guy over at RCRD LBL and Pitchfork.As always, the danciest dance jams will be provieded by Prince Language and Justin Miller. That's a whole lot of DJ. Oh, and there's free Svedka from 10–11 PM. Yes, we do love you.
We'll be rolling through the party with a photographer, so be sure to look nice and get plenty liquored up as your pretty mug will be on these digital pages come next week!
