Wave of Watterson

Bill Watterson, the notorious Chagrin Falls hermit who created the Sunday comics staple of the late-80s and early-90s, Calvin & Hobbs, has received a strangely large pile of press in the recent weeks.

First, he wrote an in-depth review (consider it the unofficial Cliff's Notes) for Schulz and the Peanuts: A Biography for the friggin' Wall Street Journal, and now an Internet archive of the bulk of his pre-Calvin strip work is online. Wow!

While the whole of the Anthem Los Angeles staff cannot say this, some of us grew up with Watterson's wonderful strips, and have wondered for over a decade where exactly the fella went ... all this recent news is edging on overwhelming, then!
