Colette Shopping T.V. #3

Practically everyone and their mother has a Web T.V. show. From the more pro (VBS, current.tv) to the more amateur (Cooking with Coolio), B-list celebs, print and Web publications, music criticism megaliths, and even old media T.V. stations have their own YouTube-, Dailymotion, and Vimeo-hosted online programs. The latest—and possibly greatest—entry to the mess that is Web television is also possibly the most unexpected: Paris, France's Colette has it's own show entitled "Colette Shopping."

Colette Shopping #3

The series has a rather odd premise: meld off-kilter Japanese physical fitness training videos, any high-brow publication's list of Must Haves from a certain city or boutique, and standard interview fodder into one somewhat cohesive entity. The third nine-minute episode begins with a calisthenics Stair Steppers routine and only gets stranger from there: what a now infamous Project Runway star might call a "hot tranny mess" sings some strange Cabaret tune while pretending to be Kate Moss; Busy P. shows his funny face; our stunningly fashionable hosts mix Mentos with Diet Coke; a home video horror film cuts in... and we won't give away the rest. Be sure to check it out, though. As usual, Colette is jam-packed with sexy Parisians, pricey (but necessary!) garments, and an underlying fun and lively aesthetic that makes the scene irresistible... even if they do drop a few lines about Justice in (they must be passé by now in France, right?!)
