Park Hotell

Anthem Online is not in the habit of predicting which bands will succeed and which bands will fail, nor is it in the habit of promoting groups that might be cool. This isn't the forum for that, and it just ain't our bag.

That being said, we're making a rare exception with Park Hotell, an indie-pop group out of Sweden that we're both obsessed with and certain will surpass the Swedish hype, 2008 trends, and all that political garbage.

The trio has a debut album out in the Fall, and judging by the strength of its already-released tracks, it'll be a damn good release. The thing's being produced by Jari Haapalainen (Ed Harcourt, the Concretes, Johnossi, Camera Obscura) and will be all about finding the middle ground between New Order dance music, Morrissey ballads, Strokes garage-pop hits, and My Bloody Valentine wall-of-sound washes. (How's that for an all-encompassing description?)

But really, folks, Park Hotell is not to be missed, and if you get on board now, you'll be the coolest kid in town for predicting the future.

The guys just sent us "Dead Ringers," the latest single, which you can stream in the media player to the right or download below.
