Cornelius' in 5.1: "Sensurround"

One of the world's greatest sound experimentalists, Keigo Oyamada, a.k.a. Cornelius, is releasing his superb 2007 LP, Sensuous, in 5.1 surround sound on September 9 via Everloving. Fittingly, the reissue will be dubbed Sensurround, and not only features the original record's twelve tracks, but an additional nine-song disc of b-sides and a DVD featuring an array of his videos.

One of the extras, "Turn Turn," features the great Ryuichi Sakamato; another is a remix by the Books; another is an edit by Prefuse 73... and that's only a third of the bonus audio!

If you're a Cornelius fan, this is a must-have... even if you're a newcomer to the longstanding Tokyo-based pop composer, producer, and musician, you'll be swept away by this three-disc release. The videos truly are awe-inspiring.
