Mountain Youth: Mmmm, Delicious!

I remember when I was, like, 13-years-old. Back then the sickly-sweet, chemical taste of Mountain Dew was, to quote the Cure, "just like heaven." It’s been a while now since I’m imbibed—though their Diet version kicks ass, it’s not as good as Diet Stewart’s Root Beer or even Diet A&W.

But you know what, Mountain Dew? A big sloppy thank you kiss for offering up a free Matt & Kim download on your website, greenlabelsound.com. It’s suitable that a beverage such as yours—designed to make adolescents lose their heads and go totally apeshit, hopefully without overdosing on Yellow #19 or crack juice or whatever you pop in those bottles—should be sponsoring an MP3 from a Brooklyn-based duo whose music has... well... roughly the same effect?

Also, I’d like to take this opportunity to ask Kim Schifino to marry me, or at least consider it, or at least maybe agree to meet some night at Union Pool, where we can smuggle in flasks of cheap vodka and mix it with Mountain Dew and talk about philosophy. Or maybe just make out a bit.
