For the few who were fortunate enough to see Sigur Rós' Heima in select theaters when it was released last year were blessed with a cinematic jewel. Not only did it make us want to move to Iceland, but it pretty much convinced us that it's the only place on earth that humans haven't managed to screw up. The tumultuous landscape provided a beautiful background for live performances set in various locales around the island making this film one of the most pure marriages of cinematic and documentary footage.
The band are back at it again and this time they've enlisted ethereal provocateur Ryan McGinley to collaborate with on a video for the single, "Gobbledigook". The short is done in signature McGinley style enlisting a cast of naked friends gallivanting around the forest, again exemplifying a holistic symbiosis between sound and vision. Watch and listen here.
McGinley's work is also on display at Ratio 3 Gallery in San Francisco.
