As we've all come to know, Flickr is a treasure trove of not only family photos and party shots, but also of the fringe, off-kilter, collectible, and rare. One can find a set of old stamps or design quarterly covers or... just about anything! Oftentimes, such collections serve as passing entertainment or briefly intriguing, quickly drifting back into the vastness of the Internet.
Finally, we've found a photo pool that's sort of worth our time, The Indie Shows 1980 - 1999, a pile of concert snapshot from, well, 1980 through 1999. Looking for pre-2003 live pictures on Flickr is a chore—how many folks were totting digicams at shows then?—so this new set comes as a welcome bit of nostalgia.
We recommend you waste an hour or so at the indie heaven Flickr pool and dig up some nuggets from the past that you thought you'd never be exposed to (i.e. this—see, it's fun!)
