Opening Ceremony Celebrates the 2008 Beijing Olympics

The 2008 Beijing Olympics are quickly approaching, and whether or not you're in China or sitting in your living room to check them out, there will be plenty of celebratory events, collaborations, and parties to attend.

Opening Ceremony is doing it properly with an opening day and weekend boutique (that's 72 hours, folks!) featuring "traditional American fare of ice cream and burgers, Souvenir, a shop-in-shop with limited edition Opening Ceremony 2008 items," and plenty of exclusive Nike Sportswear products, including the special remakes of the iconic 1987 Air Max 1 sneakers and the LunaRacer, a lightweight running shoe.

So mark your calendars for August 8 through 10. We're sure you can squeeze in a little time between matches, relays, tournaments, and games for a peek into the Opening Ceremony fun in both the New York City and Los Angeles stores.

Update: the L.A. store will be open only during normal store hours (M - S, 11 AM - 7 PM; Sunday, 12 PM - 7 PM).
