From September 6 through October 5, 2008, the swanky and progressive Parisian boutique, Colette, will have a custom-made installation in Gap's New York City flagship store.
Not only is Colette X Gap exciting because it will be introducing the classy aesthetics and products of Colette to an American demographic, but because—duh—Colette will be Stateside! Now we won't have to hop on a transcontinental plane to enjoy the discreet pleasures of French shopping (although for the L.A. Anthem office, some form of public transportation will be involved... )
If you're a Parisian yourself, rest assured that the new line of Colette pieces produced in conjunction with Gap will become available at the French store simultaneously.
