David Byrne Designs N.Y.C. Bike Racks

We've always known that David Byrne is a cyclist at heart (take this Woooooo Magazine interview he did while on his bike), but we didn't expect that the quirky sonic genius would ever commit his time to designing New York City bike racks!
Recently, the Department of Transportation in N.Y.C. invited Byrne to judge a bike rack competition. He happily agreed—and submitted several of his own designs. While the contest is still running, a few of Byrne's Keith Haring-esque ideas have been installed around the city. Call it star power, but we like these!
