For the fifth year in a row, Artivist is proudly presenting its Annual Film Festival and Awards. The nonprofit's event is "the first international film festival and awards event dedicated to addressing humans rights, children's advocacy, environmental preservation, and animal advocacy"; know that you'll be not only thoroughly educated and entertained at the screenings at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles from October 2 through 5, but you'll also return home knowing you aptly supported a wonderful organization.
The films being featured are: Zeitgeist Addendum, directed by Peter Joseph (October 2, 8 PM and October 4, 9.30 PM); A Powerful Noise, directed by Tom Cappello (October 3, 7.30 PM); Bomb Harvest, directed by Kim Mordaunt (October 3, 9.30 PM); and One Water, directed by Sanjeev Cahtterjee (October 4, 8 PM). Each focuses on a different socially- and politically-conscious topic of current interest and importance. You can find more information at Artivist's homepage.
