Cutting it a little close here, but we're all about spontaneous scheduling, so this might be right up your alley if you're one of our dear readers from NYC.
Sara Tecchia New York is presenting a duet exhibition of photographers Benjamin Fink and Alex Prager's works, Untitled (cute, eh?), that looks quite interesting. A more conscious analytical and introspective look at the pieces of the two artists.New photography demands a new assessment of the medium. In recent years, photography, once the domain of the documentary or quasi-documentary, has appropriated the expressive impulses of painting, the meticulous image management of draftwork, and the staged--not merely composed--theatrical aspects of a film set. The camera has become an inward instrument, delivering self-examination for our consumption. The show opens this Saturday November 3 (with a reception that night from 6-8 PM) and continues until December 1. If you've the opportunity, check it out ... the perfect prelude to the coming colder, darker months.
Sara Tecchia Roma New York is located at 529 West 20th Street, between Tenth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue. The gallery is on the second floor.
