Adidas Originals put a unique spin on the traditional East Coast/West Coast rivalryto promote its Spring/Summer 2008 line; the company asked Surface2Air (New York City) and Upper Playground (San Francisco) to each re-imagine and decorate their own larger-than-life Adidas sneaker (fifteen feet long, to be precise). The collaboration was part of Adidas Originals' Celebrate Originality program designed to foster creative self-expression in independent artists with the superstar "Left-Right Project" serving as the call to arms.
Celebrate Originality launches today, so get on board if you're an artist yourself or just be dazzled by the awesome Trefoil-emblazoned kicks Surface2Air and Upper Playground churned out. You can check out the three-minute video in our media player to the right or head on over to this page and get the full Adidas experience. Be sure to look over all the photo stills from the clip and other related images in the media player, too! Looks like that was a fun and exciting creative effort!
