Not to pat ourselves on the back too hard, but we thought we'd give ourselves some belated props for the DKMS benefit we hosted earlier in May at Santos Party House. The event raised an impressive $1,446 for the organization; equally as important are the 24 new bone marrow donors who registered at the club.
If for some inexplicable reason you didn't make it out to the Bone to Party festivities, you can still donate money (or marrow) to DKMS. Visit their official site here. For further information about what marrow transplants mean from a personal angle, here's a short essay I wrote for DKMS about my father's leukemia diagnosis in 2004.
Special thanks are in order for Luke Temple, Cale Parks, Real Estate, and the So So Glos, all of whom donated their time and talent for the evening.
