We were thrilled when, a little over a year ago, Comme des Garçons decided to temporarily open up a guerrilla store in downtown Los Angeles. So thrilled, in fact, that we made a film to get to know the place a little better right around its grand opening.
Alas, as promised, CDG closed up the West 4th St. operation last month, and we thought that was the end of our beloved Japanese fashion label's time in the City of Angels. Fortunately, Brett Westfall, one of the guys behind the shop, a CDG collaborator, and the founder of Unholy Matrimony apparently enjoyed his time at the boutique so much that he's decided to keep it open! The joint's now called M'ouments and will carry more clothes than before (Comme des Garçons, Unholy Matrimony, Sonia Boyajian). We hear there's an opening on the horizon, so expect more information from us when that news arises.
