We were worried for a minute there that Kieran Hebden, a.k.a. Four Tet, had gone off the deep end and immersed himself too much in the world of experimental free jazz and ambient electronics thanks to his post-Everything Ecstatic collaboration with legendary drummer Steve Reid. When LP5's lead single, "Love Cry," dropped last year, though, we knew that the musician we had all grown to love and admire, thanks to full-lengths like Pause and Rounds, was back for real.
His newfound poppy accessibility sets There Is Love In You (out on January 25) apart from the rest of the pack, which is both exciting (new territories!) and a logical progression (more fans!)
