What do you get when you pile your closest friends in a bio diesel bus and attempt to play 10 shows in one day? What oddly sounded like the lead in to a good joke turned into one of the most ambitious projects executed by a band that we can remember.
Last weekend, L.A.-based the Soft Pack embarked on a mini tour playing various house parties, galleries, record stores, friends' parents' houses and even an impromptu unplugged set at the beach. If Murphy's Law had its way, the band and fans would have spent their time in bottlenecked traffic and signing tickets for noise violations. Instead, the karma police were on their side as the Soft Pack hopped from venue to venue debuting songs off their new album and delighting fans with some classics.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, so check out a small diary from the daybelow, visit Video Thing for a more dynamic experience and of course remember to pick up their new record out now on Kemado Records.
Get in the van, man…
Greased Lightning, powered by love…
Can I kick it… ?
Just in case…
It's a set-up…
Who needs motion graphics… ?
No Band-Aids…
“Pull Out!”
On the road again…
Everybody move to the back of the bus…
If the van's a rockin'…
The enemy…
